Product Description Tells the story of a little girl who is learning to use the bathroom and offers professional advice on the process of toilet training.
Amazon.com Prudence--the round-cheeked, pony-tailed heroine of Alona Frankel's book of the same name--can provide further inspiration to young daughters with her video adventure. As with her print counterpart, the animated Prudence wonders if her grandmother's gift could be a birdbath or a flowerpot before she settles down to the business at hand. Unlike the book, Prudence gets a grand introduction in the form of a music video of "The Potty Song," complete with toddlers frolicking among portable potties. A lyric sheet is included and moms will appreciate the equality mindedness of songwriter Art Frankel ("Wee-wee goes there / Poo-poo goes there / Then Daddy wipes behind me and that is that!"). The second half of this 24-minute video is a "Parent's Guide," in which a prominent pediatrician goes over the basics: signs of readiness, terms, methods, and expected ages (for example, girls usually train before boys, but don't force it). --Kimberly Heinrichs

Daughter likes it, I don't! July 28, 2010 myera341 (Duluth, GA United States) I thought this would help with my 2 yr old's potty learning but I can't say that it does. There are too many flaws to make it worth while in my opinion. It has video of babies playing with the potty and this just causes my daughter to do the same thing. NOT GOOD! Things like putting the potty on her head, etc. The song also mentions how easy life was with a diaper (is this really what we want a potty training child to think?) and it calls a vagina a "pee pee" which is where the "wee wee" comes out. Overall, I don't approve of the message or the terminology but, I prefer to use the real name for things. My daughter on the other hand would disagree - she loves it. It hasn't helped her go in the potty anymore than before but she enjoys watching the babies.
Best of the Best!! June 21, 2010 Juanita Gransby (Phila., PA) Brought this video in VHS about 11 years ago for my grand daughter. The potty song is great if you sing along with the music and make it fun for the child. She was trained in a week. Used it everyday with her. It took my grandson a little longer with the video for boys but it worked. Terrific video!!
over all- happy with purchase February 8, 2010 Curtis R. Mullins Jr. My nearly 3 year old daughter enjoys watching this dvd. I don't particularly care for the non-sensical song and random dancing babies at then end, but my daughter seems to like it. My only real complaint is that it is too short, but I suppose it gets the point across. Overall- I am glad I made this purchase.
Once upon a potty for her February 6, 2010 Christy Daum (USA) This is a great dvd to help your little girls to become comfortable with the potty. After my little girl watched it she wanted to go and sit on the potty.
Great potty learning tool! January 30, 2010 Jamie C. D. Larue This DVD is a great companion to the Once Upon a Potty book, which my toddler loves. It reinforces the concepts presented in the book, and the catchy "Potty Song" really sticks with the toddler, further driving interest in the potty. My daughter asks for this DVD every day!
